We’ll all gather together in the morning for Evangelism 101 introductory training. Workshop options will be offered in the afternoon on the following topics:
Prayer as Evangelism
The focus is on further equipping of members as evangelists through prayer. Training includes why Prayer is Important, How to Start Prayer Groups, and hold activities such Prayer Walks – Presentation by Ms Jerusalem Greer
The worldwide web is a new missionary context, a real place where people experience a world of relationships, challenges, and growth. This workshop includes Exploratory Exercises designed to prepare people to practice evangelism as they use social media – Presentation by Mr William Simerly and Brother Andrew Morehead
Intentional Small Group Ministry
Learning to connect through transformative relationships with those both in our churches and communities is a huge part of evangelism. Learn how to start an Intentional Small Group Ministry in your context – Presentation by Mr Chris Sikkema
Beloved Community Storysharing
A huge part of sharing the Good News is facing the need for Racial Reconciliation in our communities. This workshop shares the gifts of the Storysharing method for both racial reconciliation and evangelism work – Presentation by The Rev Claire Brown and The Rev David Burman
Evangelism 101, presented by The Episcopal Church in East Tennessee and the Evangelism Task Force, comes at no cost and lunch will be provided – donations will be accepted. All are welcome!
